WHO IS GROUP THERAPY FOR?

Group therapy is ideal for children, teens, and young adults who are ready to learn and apply new skills in a supportive, peer-based setting.

Our programs are offered for 6-8 weeks and are designed to accommodate the diverse schedules of our clients and their families.

Whether you're looking to improve social skills, work on vocational tasks, or other specialized areas, our groups cater to varying needs.

HOW DO THE GROUP PROGRAMS WORK?

At Including You Therapy Services, our group programs are led by an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Therapist.

We prioritize sensory, physical, emotional, and communication needs to maximize engagement and enjoyment.

The types of group programs vary—from social skills to feeding groups—and the number of participants is adjusted based on individual needs.

HOW WILL GROUP THERAPY HELP?

Safety and inclusivity are our top priorities. If a child isn't ready for group settings due to physical aggression, individual services may be recommended first. The ultimate goal of group therapy is multi-faceted:

  • Build and apply new skills

  • Form meaningful relationships

  • Have fun in a space where everyone feels included

These group sessions are an excellent way to bring learned skills into real-life situations.
